Markers

I love the shocker, but it isn't for everyone, they are accurate and fast but heavy and gas hungry, but they are easy to maintain. however I know people who like angels and mags but I hate them ( the older ones anyway), try it if you like it then its a good idea to get it, but try as many as you can.

I think you'll always get a mixed response depending on who's shooting what.

Best thing to do, (seems like a stuck record this but it's very true) go and try one.

You'll usually find someone that'll give you a go on their toy, (unless it's my E-Blade then you can sod off:D ;) ), even if it's only over a range. Then and only then can you make a judgement call.

Personally I don't like them, I find them a bit big and bulky, but then people constantly say that about my warped cocker so who's to tell.:D

Not much help but there you go:rolleyes:

Shockers

I have had my shocker for round a bout a year now, i am only a rec player but i do play every 4weeks, just recently have been asked to try out for a couple of teams so i think i will be trying out the tourny scene in the neer future. The shocker is going to be the gun i start with, i have had about 5 ball breaks since ive had it and thats a whole loada paint been put through it. Its accurate, fast enough (compared to others, apart from angel and impy), yes it is quite heavy but then im a big guy. I love 'em.

:D :D :D

I have a shocker and i love it to bit's. The new ones are great but as most people say they are a bit on the heavy side. I have only had one problem with mine since i brought it and that was the rocket piston cracked and needed replacing. Since then i have had no problem and have had many good paintball days with this marker.

But i have to agree with most other people the best option is to go out and try and play with as many guns as possible and decided for your self as ever one has there own personal preferance.

I dont own a shocker, I shall never own a shocker.......for me they are just far too big, they are total gas hogs and they are heavier than most markers.

Shocker

Thanx to John_Wilson I used his shocker for when I was playing for the Chicks a few weeks back and this is what I think of them.

I feel that they are (with the right setup) can be a great marker but as people have said the one I was using was very gas hungry (was on CO2 though) and I found it very heavy when I was running with it compared to many site markers and my now sold Mag.(about 2 or 3 times the weight)

I know the the shocker has had a big re-vamp in 2002 and thats prob why there are now so many of the old style on the forums for around £300 :)

Going back to your question..... If your going to get a shocker make sure its a vert Feed since this will greatly increse your ROF with a fast hopper on top (Halo B maybe ;) ) since people I have spoken to that have the "Power Feed" have had probs with it snapping off!!!

But still they are a great marker and for £300 2nd hand for a full setup (on these forums) you can not ask for much more for your money for this great electo marker.

It is like.........

a hugh box with a tube coming out of the end.
I once saw a shocker with a 18" barrel and 1.9 air system on it. It was hugh. He nearly killed something with it.
