my mate used to get these calls ALL the time, one day he threatened the operator with going down to the call centre and stabbing him to death if he rang there again........ calls soon stopped

I get them occasionally, i just answer it then lave the phone on the desk till they hang up

Get on to BT and get your number changed. I had a similar problem when i had a fax/phone. Once it's in the fax domain there little bt can do about it as the numbers a circulated world wide.

Tell bt that your getting phone calls at odd hours and it's scareing the crap out of your mrs. Mine was changed in 24 hrs and made X directory.

The funny thing about X directory is that there's a directory of the X directory phone numbers....think that made sense, so with a bit of will power and some knowledge your never save

The trouble with changing your number is you then have to tell everybody you want to call you what the new number is.
