I watched the prize ceremony yesterday.

To my great surprise, when the winners of the M5 division took the podium (all of them young kids that are playing their first year in the Millennium Series)... the 2nd and 3rd place teams were booing, and chanting "shame on you".

Now, it may just be me that has been brought up well, but I found it to be extremely tasteless and completely lacking class, to not have the common courtesy to acknowledge a team that has outplayed you in the finals of an event.

It is my hope, that the whole paintball industry will notice these two team names, and think twice before sponsoring teams with such bad manners and so little understanding of how the paintballers can hate eachother on-field, and be the best of friends outside the field.

Nick
You have probably seen my thread over in SYB regarding Prophecy, just goes to show how low their behaviour was across the board. Who sponsors these idiots?

but why repeat that game? Refs do make mistakes they are human! That was not fair for Impact!

So human and so mistakes as NK shouting and screaming at the refs and making the teams wait 30 minuts on field because the cry babyes wouldn't leave the field... that was shamefull!

A hint for the future, you guys play well and fast but work on your reactions, talk OUTSIDE in a calm way with the refs, because no one is perfect!

The ref's took out 2 of my players without a hit, and one oponnent went to catch the flag, slipped outside the field and the reef didn't saw it, so the player wasn't eliminated... i lost some points about it, but the answer is not agressive talk, scream or whatsoever.

Respect each other

And Impact would have not complained if NK had been allowed to shoot them out while THEY were still making their way back to the start gate with their backs to the refs?

A false start is a false start whichever team breaks early, and a restart is the only fair way to sort that out. If Impact were so sure they won due to skill rather than the refs mucking up, why wouldn't they turn up for the rematch? I fail to see why this decision was so "unfair" on Impact.

Did the reef's stopped the game and announced that was a false start?
Exactly that, why did the refs not stop the game when they admitted after that it was a false start. That was the arguement. The rule is in a situation where a false start happens, the game should be stopped and restarted as if the game had never been started. In this situation, would team would have let that go. Every team has suffered from bad calls from refs occasionally, but this was not a bad call this was wrong.

No because they were to embarrassed to admit they cocked up and hoped no one would notice. Only later did they decide that it was their fault. One of the Judges was counting in his head and dropped his hand on what he thought was game on.... But it wasnt and raised his hand back up. The kids were watching him as he was the closest to them and broke out.

When he raised his hand back up they stopped and returned to the start gate as you would with a restart but the other team carried on shooting forcing the kids to break to the same bunker.

I know Judges/ players make mistakes but by them not restarting the game initially this provoked the kids and parents to react by demanding a rematch. Im not condoning how they did it as i didnt she this part as i had to leave as the game finished.

Any one in that position would ask for a restart

We're Notorious. We dont care, makes us look the better side. We blew them off the field and thats all that counts.
funny how Prophecy were calling us cheats when in the finals their guy got 3 for 1'd for trying to wipe his goggles.
all i can say is thanks to Phil Webb, Spike from Draxxus, Mark from D7's, all the Kelly's, Metod/Ducks, Nexus, Stealers and most importantly Dave and Kathy Stewart for supporting us all weekend, we had u guys behind us and we dont need anyone else.
Don't forget Ma and Pa Hogg. Thanks Karen for your bottomless bag that had everything in including tool kits, anything you would need in case of an emergency to the endless supply of drinks and snacks throughout the weekend and Richard without who (either out of curiousity or just plain intelligence) asked for the scores to be checked, which enabled the team to go through to the finals, and too both of you for your endless and energy.

lol

GO MA AND PA (i just wish they were so cool at home) lol i wanan say thx to all the same people ... paris was a rollercoaster ride at times it was the worst tourney ever and at othhers it was the best oh and cloud lets see if you can call THIS fair.... 10 seconds is called e are lookin at the ref he lowers his hand ... we run realise its a mistake start walking back .. impact start shooting at us while we are walking back and they are in there bunkers (including the snake) while we still have our guns on the board this meant when game on WAS called there were 3 of us in the back centre and 1 in each corner (how they made it there i have no idea was probably a display of how much SKILL impact displayed that game) if we didnt get the rematch then we wouldnt have been in the finals and a rematch was the only corse of action in that situation so next time you say we are in the wrong cloud think about it first

I didn't say that you were wrong, i said you have chosen the worst way to show it to the reef's!

My team has suffered a false start in Portugal, and i was elliminated by the same way you guys explain here, the refs admited the mistake after the game and it was not repeated! that's why I asked why it was repeated!

Best way to end false starts it's MS invest a low amount of money in doing electronic starts with the head marshall press a button, and the sound of game on after the real 10 seconds.

My 2 cent's!
