team-name in use?

Apocalypse was formed sometime around 92 in the UK.
Its had a rocky road to get where it is now.

Apocalypse in regards to paintball is also a legally registered name in the UK and Europe, and encompases the team as well as the ltd company. So if anyone wants to take it there is gonna be trouble, in Europe at least

I think pretty much we got it sewn up regards paintball matey!

Tom Tom: sorry, my bad, i should have explained when the team was originally formed, but I was not certain, so I have used the date I know the company was started, so the team is probably much older, and therefore also early '90s

Famine: where and what kind of registration are you talking about? As a company? Ironicaly, this whole thing shouldn't be a problem after all, but since the eng. translation of our team-name would be the same as yours, I guess it's kinda tricky..:/

However, we'll work something out, maybee we could take the rest over PM's if you guys would like to ?

(and anyone is welcome to pm me some suggestions for a new team-name)

Registered as a Company mate, and the team are part of the company!
Registered through companies house and also posses copyright on the whole thing.

Either way, the fact that your team disbanded it doesnt really matter how long you have been going. Your teams been going a season. That and the fact we got the name sewn up. You may as well start looking around for a new one

Saying that if you are a local team your spelling is different and fine. Now if you wanna start doing euro stuff and looking to get a name for yourselves with sponsors etc. it would make sense to change the name. Seeing as most companies are aware of Apocalypse team and company. Just gonna get confusing for you guys.

The copy right to your name: Apocalypse, would it also have the rights to the name Apoc?, as it is a different name and word all together.
If it isnt, then just use that. You cant be sued, nor with any reason dissed for having that name, surely

Alright, maybee I should check if Apokalypse is registered through the local company? (I think it is)
However, it doesn't really matter, as it would look stupid with like 10 teams with only one or two letters difference in their team name..
And since you looks like you guys have been out there like forever, I'll start looking for something else..
A new name just popped into my brain the other day, "Cloud Nine" - not that I'm on cloud nine at the moment, but I sure am when we're playing 'ball
Any comments on that one?
