after not paying attention for a while i'm now confused. If this team is to represent england at international tournies then they probably should take the best players in england (it makes sense to me!). On the other hand, if this team just made up of players across england, let them do what they like! but as i say i dont know what this team is to do with so i'll shut up now...

buddah, twud be irresponisble for any paintball team to call themselves team england or any other country
That's funny because we've had a team called the All Americans over here for quite a while now.

Anyway, I thought England's team was called "Throw In the Towel" after the IAO. I guess they would want to shorten it up a bit now.

bobvannes think u misunderstand, all americans is ok because it doesnt conotate ideas of a NATIONAL team. If you called a team, i dont know, pride of england, then that too would be cool. But if you call a team, Team England, as the team that entered (and performed rather dismally) at the iao was called, then that would have to be deemed a NATIONAL team, which means the best players in the country at any given time, not a permanent team. That was all, anyway, it dont matter cos they realize this and thats why theyve chosen a team name (nexxus by all accounts)

Matt,

In the US there is something called the All Americans for a lot of sports. This consists of a number of people who have proven to be the best in that sport. So if a paintball team can use that name without any trouble, then team England should be hassle free too.
Anyway, it's all just chitchat, because the team ain't called team England.
