Just a quickie.

Dont know if its been said already cos i sure as **** aint reading 13 pages to catch up, but if the xball squad (team england) is to remain known as team england, then they will HAVE to keep holding trials/sending scouts to watch tournaments to look for more/new/missed talent, that is after all the idea behind a national squad, that you pick the best of the countries players, and the best for pittsburgh wont necessarily be the best now, or in december or next year etc. If this isnt going to happen (which i personally dont think will) then they obviously need to play under a new name. Just think that should be considered.

Hmm. So if I were to call my team 'Team England', I would have to have tryouts, just because of my team's name? Bizarre....
I mean, just using that name doesn't mean it's the UKPSF and whatever else backed national team, it could just mean that somebody just likes the name and is real patriottic...
I think I will call my team Team England from now on, just to p*ss people off, since I live in Holland and all...

Holding try outs???

The problem with holding trials is that the teams is constantly changing.
Planet X certainly had the talent to win at STR, but they just hadn't played enough together.
It will be at least a year before NEXUS become world class and when they do changing the squad is the last thing they want to do.

buddah, twud be irresponisble for any paintball team to call themselves team england or any other country, unless they were to be a "proper" international team (i.e holding trials/scouting new players), it would look bad on the sport as a whole if internationally named teams were nothing more than a permanent elite team. Anyway, looks like the guys have realized this, and want to stay as they are, and are gonna be called nexxus, so, all is cool.

I was just playing devil's advocate. But theoretically, a team's name can not force a team to have tryouts...
