Tape on the tank?

The only benefit of tape I can see is that sometimes when screwing my tank off the marker the cover slips. The good ol' knee-clamp manouver usually sorts out that problem though. I guess tape or skate grip would sort of help with that problem.
Tank covers offer slightly better padding against potential breaks on the tank and the cover can be taken off and washed easier than removing and re applying tape all the time.

Each to their own I guess!.

its cos youve got a crap bottle cover, its got no grip on the inside of it to stop it slipping on the tank, get a decent one.

i have the same trouble, my bottle is slightly smaller than the tank cover....or the cover has stretched either way i have to take the cover off a bit to take the tank off...in the rare occaisions that i do

Last game I played I landed a little heavily on a dive into the dead zone, had some hissing from my tank, on closer inspection theres a little scratch on the tank.

Yup, be sure to have a full tank when you do it though, for best effects
