why?

Hehe, form follows function...and that thing is "a pure block of function" as put by one of my friends.
I'm seriously considering getting one of these, my main concern is that due to the rarity, having it fixed will be tough if it goes down (Palmer Pursuit is in Cali). From the Palmer Owner Group's reassurances, that shouldn't happen, but I don't really know...

seen the marker on warpig and it got good reviews but i dont know about it in a tourny situation? check warpig for it.

Glen Palmer may or may not have invented the self-cocking mechanism that is employed in the autococker, Sovereign, and Blazer before Bud Orr did. There is some controversy on this. Unquestionably, Orr did a better job of getting his creation into the hands of players.
Palmers does good work. If you haven't heard of them, learn what you can, unless this is the sort of gun-tech-blah-blah that puts you to sleep on the way home from the tournie.
