I think I'm going to break new ground here and say that I'm FOR this new format. The idea of the moveable bunkers is kind of cool. I've often though, "Damn, if that bunker was only over by a foot"... The whole "backline" idea seems like it would make it REALLY easy to make it to your bunker, which I think might actually detract from the game. A limited backline, or extended starting box seems like it would be the better move. Although, since you can move around within the backline, you could actually completely change your breakout based upon how the other team places their bunkers, and what they're starting positions look like, so it might actually make it more fun, having to strategize on the fly. I'd like to try playing a game or two in this format and see how it is. Imagine if back in the day all the old school 'ballers, all decked out in their cammos, with half face masks and primitive semi-autos would have said, "This whole thing with inflateable bunkers, jerseys, nets, points and refs is stupid. We don't need to change anything, this is real paintball", all of us tourneyballers wouldn't be here today seeing ideas like this even being proposed! Keep and open mind and embrace change, it's the only way to make things better.
