So what do you think about this one?

I am not too crazy about it. It sounds pretty hokey. I was on the X-Ball train from the beginning--that new format is great. This Tactix game, though, sounds too hokey and full of gimmicks.

I kinda like the idea of an end zone that you can move around in before the time goes off ('They're shifting left! They're shifting left!'), but only as a curiosity.

I hate the movable bunkers idea. But maybe that's just me.

What about you guys?

the movable bunker thing is the whole idea and if you dont like that idea then you wont like the game. i dont really think it sounds that great but it could be fun to play it. The moving backline thing sounds fun, like in american football "there blitzing", but the whole team could stand behind one bunker and hose down one side of the field. Thats tactix for ya hey

Why dont we just use a football and some nets and the keeper can be shot as many times as you can hit him, you're only allowed ten seconds on the ball, we nick the person in a rolling bunker from that other thread and a high wire specialist walks over the top of you as a "balancing coach" personally I prefer paintball ;)

They could always use zorbs...

No? Nevermind.

I agree with the original post about the gimicks, it seems as though everyone is trying to make a name/game for themselves and it's just going to lead to more seperation. Corny name, too.

The "Backline" is nothing new. USPL did that in 2000. It actually maes it easier to run your routes to make your bunkers.

It wouldn't truly be tactics unless you had like 75% of the bunkers you cold move around. Either that or none of them could be moved, but you had half a football pitch and a huge ammount of bunkers a side for 7 v 7. Refrence the old Knoxville Indoor, huge arena for 5 on 5. They played one game where most events would have run 3 fields.

I also agree with Joe Bob up there too, but that's another thing entirely.

That being said, I'd like to try the format before saying "It bites". Hey, paintball is still growing. We can still afford the luxury of new concepts.
