good idea russell, but it still seems to me that there is a grey area regarding certain markers and their bounce. 'cough' e-blade 'cough'

or is that just me?

also been hearing lots of things about dodgy timmys.........

oh yeah, and to all the people who say angels blend... why do so many people have sweet Angels? because they know how to set one up properly, just like every other gun needs to be!

Good call Russel, but have you advised the manufacturers/importers of this so that they can choose to remedy the situation.
Surely it is up to the manufacurers of this e blade rip off to supply it as the laws of the land dictate.

They do, FA isn't illegal.
And what exactly do you base this on?

The Home Office told the UKPSF (exact quote)

"While only the courts can offer a final ruling, it seems likely that a paintball gun capable of fully automatic or burst fire would count as a prohibited weapon under Section 5(1)(a) of the Firearms Act 1968. The maximum penalty for possessing such an item is ten years imprisonment. A circuit board or chip to allow fully automatic or burst fire would be a component part of such a weapon"

Who told you otherwise?

For the record. The Home Office are the only people who's opinions count on this until some sorry ******* ends up in court and the chances are that the courts will follow the advice from government (ie. the same Home Office that thinks F/A is illegal)

FULL AUTO IS ILLEGAL.

It takes a marker out of the special status we enjoy and elevates it to category 5. An illegal firearm. Threfore a sentence of up to ten years merely for OWNING one. This is the law. I've asked the firearms expert at the home office......... this is the end of the line. This is the woman who will decide whether to prosecute you for ownership. Not John C, not Customs, Not me.... the law of the land.
Markers are arguably prohibited weapons anyway (the HO turn a blind eye and grant us exemption). The minute you fire more than one shot per pull they are 100% illegal. This means that if you commit an offence with a full auto marker e.g fire at a passer by, road sign or simply get reported by your neighbour........... you will face the same charges as if you'd used a mach 10. This is FACT. But more than that......... merely owning one is an offence, even owning a select fire marker and never using auto is illegal... it just needs the capability.
No argument.......and before anyone says "but the law says if the can't cause a fatal injury it's OK" by law the definition of fatal is "capable of causing a more than trivial injury". Blinding? concussion?
So FULL AUTO IS ILLEGAL.

Just to add that almost all electros can be made to fire full auto with very little modification.

I dont just mean software/hardware modification Im talking about setting the trigger so short that the kick of the gun causes it to fire again.

I have seen this on many guns including eblades timmys a4s matrices etc. All of which can be modified to empty their hopper with one trigger pull.

Nobodies going to take a gun set up in this way to a torunament but it can be done as easily as changing a firing mode.

So this means half the people on this forum own markers which are capable of firing FA, in fact in the case of an A4 adjusting the trigger in this way can be done without even taking the grips off the gun.

Does this make us all criminals???

Regardless of the scale of the modification it is whether or not modification is necessary that is the issue.

To draw my favourite parallel. In the UK Pump-Action shotguns can only legally hold three shells (two in the magazine, one in the breach). They can be modified to carry more but it is not that you can modify them but the fact you have modified it that puts you in breach of the law.

Back when Full-Bore Semi-Auto Rifles were still legal you could purchase a replacement part for them them made them F/A and wasn't exactly a chore to fit either (I think it was a different sear or something)

They were legal right up to the moment you modified them. The fact it was easy to do it wasn't the issue

In a word yes!
Me and Jose thrashed this out in another thread a while back.
I spoke to my local firearms officers on one of their regular inspection about this a while back and it seems the law is just waiting for this sort of thing to happen, i.e. people setting up full auto. As it stands markers are a gray area, but given enough rope we might just hang ourselves and then there would be a strong case to get markers into one of the clasifications.
