Mario, you got a little sister or brother or even a child?
Thankfully no child ;) been lucky so far :)

Isn't the whole point though that were not young kids? were old enough to know the meanings of these words and if we choose to use them then thats our perogative.

We are to be fair, still a long way from mainstream TV (i doubt we will ever get there) and the channels that we will be put on will be extreme sports channels aimed at the young professional male with a lot of expendable cash, not young children.

Yes abuse towards refs is wrong. But being penalised for abuse towards my own players is pedantic and frankly stupid. There is no way to stamp out swearing, end of story.

Refs are wasting their time telling me to watch my mouth. Get on with the actual job of reffing me, not mothering me you worthless piece of **** covered piss streaked vomit.

sorry i couldn't resist that bit at the end.

ill go now.

TAXI!!!

edit: i noticed recently at a premiership footy match a lot of young kids (mostly boys) shouting all sorts of profanities including the infamous c word. i was to be fair a little shocked, but i thought it an interesting footnote for everyone. :)

But you have to remember apart from fishing, football is the most popular sport in the world. You get all sorts of people coming to watch the match. But where if you can create a sort of 'tradition' that paintball isnt just a load big tough men who swear every other word wouldnt you do it?

well thats just theoretical bollocks now really isn't it?

Your saying that just because football is an established game that makes it ok for them to swear and not us?

the fact that you get 'all sorts' should make swearing in a football a virtual no go zone, because you have kids, mothers, 'posh' ppl, retards, men, aliens etc.

In paintball - all youve got are other paintballers and their families. And lets face it, were not exactly from the top echelons of society, any of us are we?

You know mate your right, been watching soooo much braveheart over the last few weeks.....but hold on, your Irish, in fact, are you not the same Irish Kid who had his underwear removed without the taking down of cargo pants at Campaign a few years back, and I'm sure if I'm not mistaken, I only had one hand working as the other was in plaster!!!!!

$h1t......I sound like Robbo going on a rant.....;)

Dave, mate, when your a little older give me a shout, not boxing rings, no gloves, just good old fashioned dirty street fighting, black pepper, coins and steel toe cap boots........ah....I'm kidding.....I'll wear gloves ;)

And before anyone thinks this is a rant, personal attack, blah de blah de blah.....it's banter between two friends.....ggeeezzz you people.......

Sid

This is a slightly petty thread, isn't it !:p

So long as it isn't a personal insult then it shouldn't offend anyone, it's only a word - The more it's used the less offensive it gets anyway.

But I mean you can be just as if not far more offensive to someone without using 'swear words'

I could come up with some interesting comparisons of offensiveness...

Mario, your question asked for clarification, I gave it, it wasn't done with any context in mind.
You added the context after mate !
