Aight, 5 is the absolute limit. Five threads, that is, dedicated to the freakin' Forum Battle. This isn't the forum battle forums after all and it will not turn into the forum battle forums. While the forum battle is a swell idea and I hope everyone has a great time I am sorely tempted to start consolidating or killing in cold blood these threads and if I see another one once the bloodshed begins who knows where it will end.

But should'nt the Mod's be happier because the forum battle brings alot of new members and alot more publicity to the forum?
I mean we are promoting this great forum for free, and seeing as this forum is the best in the UK and is probably a main contributor to the flow of newbies joining the paintball family Which is making the Uk paintball scene thrive.

That's my view on it anyway.

But should'nt the Mod's be happier because the forum battle brings alot of new members and alot more publicity to the forum?
I mean we are promoting this great forum for free, and seeing as this forum is the best in the UK and is probably a main contributor to the flow of newbies joining the paintball family Which is making the Uk paintball scene thrive.

That's my view on it anyway.

Who is a new member due to the forum battles? A couple of names and testamonials is in order, I think. And are they PGi subscribers or Platinum Ghetto members? If you or anyone else can demonstrate the Forum Battle does as you claim then it might be actually worth having. In the meantime it is indulged primarily because some of you lot are enjoying it and Mikey is passionate about it and that isn't a bad thing.

Any positive contribution the forums may make to paintball in general and UK ball in particular is a plus and we certainly have tried to provide a unique forum environment but the forums have a purpose beyond what any individual member receives. They do not exist solely for your entertainment. And the limit I am imposing on Forum Battle postings may be arbitrary but it is still generous. You'll just have to take my word for it or agree to disagree. In either case the limit is what it is.
