A word of advice for those going at the weekend.

BRING GOOD QUALITY INSECT REPELLENT as it has been nice sunny weather for a couple of days up here which is forecast to continue into the weekend and that usually means some pretty monsters mozzies on site.

You have been warned.
Great call - had completely forgotten about the mozzies..........

Fantastic day, perfect weather and excellent work set up by Andy and all his crew.
No mozzies but plenty of paint sting through the day.
What paintball is all about great fun and banter with like minded people :D

Yep,totally agree with you Rich.

I have not played on that site for more than 2 years and the amount of work that has gone in for the super6 event was enormous, the game area was fantastic, the electronics showing who were in control of each base made life easier and the instant updates on the plasma screens in the safe areas were great.

The flipping of the respawn corridors made things very interesting and I think worked extremely well.
The last big game I played was stargate 2005 i think and all the complaints about that event (which was shorelines 1st big game) have been sorted. The guys running the super6 events have all listened to the complaints from previous big games and actually done something about it.

Great event run on a great site with fantastic games areas and facilities.

UK paintball seems to have taken a massive step forward last/this year for both the scenario/big game players and the supair players with the super6 guys and CPPS stepping up to the plate and offering a truely exceptional series of events whatever your flavour of paintball.

Well done to YPC and the super 6 organisers for a great weekend.

Decent weekend. The saturday was a bit sluggish and boring, but sunday was a laugh.
However, constructive feedback - I was with 2 new players, neither of whom knew how to fill a bottle after the supposed "air training".
Basically, the guy doing the training was unprepared, and simply read off the sheet (poorly, and incompletely) while adding in some swear words every so often (so much for the blurb in the players pack about this being kid friendly, and bad language wont be tolerated...)
There was no practical demonstration to speak of, either.

Any one of us can read the safety sheet for ourselves. All in a waste of time, and the casual manner in which the information was presented by the marshall only served to trivialise this important safety issue.

My only other gripe for the weekend (and this is echo'd by everyone I asked shooting it) was that the Dark Sportz purple shelled ball was bobbins!

yet the Dark sportz blue/yellow ball was fantastic.

different grades and different batches, just goes to show how paint can differ so enormously

I only used a couple boxes on the saturday. was shown examples of both teh Dark Sportz offerings, and the fill was better on the purple ball, also it seemed to break better. This was on the presumably cherrypicked demonstration balls. They were nice and round too.

When we got our cases the paint was a bit dimpled and many many barrel breaks/breaks near the breach.

Ended up using Draxxus for the rest of the weekend with no real issues. We used the seconds of Blaze, rolled the balls a bit to get rid of some excess oil, and remove any obvious crap balls, and overall it shot really nice.
Obviously I know about paint, grades, quality etc, but as above we were with 2 new players who wanted to ball well, on a modest budget. Pushing an extra £8 a case for some top end stuff woulda made the weekend that bit more pricey.

Anyway, it was just an observation. I only raise it as the DS bloke apparently was blaming peoples guns. Well, if that many people have issues, its obviously the paint....

Shot DXS Gold and it was mint.
Noticed a lot of the reds shooting DXS paint and it was working very well all day.

Very small bore paint

I used the DS yellow/blue shell in my Geo2 and Proph and it was awesome. It was a small bore though, was rolling out of my 683 Sly back.

Awesome day though!
