I ride a vtr1000 and find the best backpak for carrying my kit is the eclipse one as it stays on your back and doesnt try to swing round when cornering. One thing that is annoying though with all packs if you ride a sportsbike if you get the pack to high on your back it can rub the back of your helmet at the bottom and stop your head from moving back when trying to get down behind the fairing.:)

if ur riding a bigish bike not just a moped then get atank bag, straps over the fuel tank, seem very good in my experiences or get that and a smart parts bag the fit all my kit in

I've been transporting my kit on my 125's for at least 2 years now. I found that if I needed to take lots of stuff then I did need my pillion bags but pretty much all the basics I need to take will fit in a rucksack on my back without weighing too much or destabilising me. I'll admit that I don't travel far with it (No more than 20 miles) but it does work. If you like I could post a pic to show how I load it
