reply to NvS question.

If you want a first marker that will not let you down, is easy to maintain (i.e you can dump it in a bucket of water at the end of the day, it wont hurt it) and generally abuse the hell out of it, then the tippman is a good choice (Most of the paintball sites use these for that reason, low running costs)

However, I have now decided that - although my Tippmann has pretty much every hop-up you can get - I require a 'Tourny Legal' marker, hence I think I will be going for a Cocker as I do not like the problems associated with electronic markers.

There is no basis for comparison between the two, as they are both designed with different markets in mind. I would hate to go tell you to but a Tippmann, and you come back 3 months later saying that you are bored with it, and likewise if I were to tell you to get a cocker, and you come back ranting that it doesn't work properly on account of not being setup right.

GO TO WDP/SMARTPARTS/PLANETECLIPSE and have a look at what is on offer, I am sure they will give you the low down on al the guns, and you can then make an informed choice.

With an RT

You definately need a 12V, preferably with an X board.

And yes, you can do pretty much everything to them, but what it has cost me to make mine as quick as it is, I could have bought an entry level Impulse/Cocker. But as I said, as a first marker you cannot go wrong.

Tippman 98C Black
1x Lapco 12" Bigshot barrel
1x SmartParts 14" Progressive Barrel
1x TP 16" barrel
Tippman GTA expansion Chamber c/w Vertical Adaptor
Tippman Responce Trigger
Full Boar R/C RVA
Dye Stickies

Goes like stink, and as I said, ya just hose it down, and blow it out with an air line, couple of drops of oil in the back, and back in the case for next time. Does chop balls on full tilt, but that is more down to feed rate from the revvy/elbow.
