Whats with this matt finish on stuff? Just because they are trying to pass it of as 'dust' doesn't mean it is good :) . Shiney is good, we all know that. New stuff should be shiney. Matt is what stuff looks like after wear...

What happened to polish? Isn't that what we use to get rid of dust from stuff so it stays shiney?

Let's hear it for shiney stuff!

Nope I'm not a magpie, but I, like many paintballers, am addicted to shiney stuff.

I believe there is a direct correlation between how shiney 'stuff' is and how likely you are to get your wallet out and make a purchase at that point.

That and flames... flames seem to make products more expensive AND more likely to be purchased. maybe we should commision a student study on this? We have enough students here...

Oooh coloured shiney! now your talking. :)

I wonder if that takes a different type of elbow grease? do you get clear shiney polish and coloured shiney polish or is it the way you rub it...

Dude,

I got your back

Shiny = good. but things that stay shiny after wear are even better !!!!!

I am still kicking myself for not getting the JT set at Max and listening to the "but you've already got a Freak" arguement - bloody common sense always rears it's head at the worst of times :(

Beaker I knew you'd be on my side :)

We could add 'lightening strike' marks if you want?

Those and flames always seem to be good? I wonder if you had both at the same time would it be overkill? Is that even possible? hmmm...

I have a nickel plated CP set on my Spearhead purely because nickel is shinier than aluminium.

Howdy Manike!

I agree, the matt looks kinda tacky to me.

You gotta go with chrome or some kinda colouful shiny stuff!

As for flames - we'll, I'm just surprised that EVERY gun doesn't have flames on them!! (The should be outlawed if they don't I tell ya!)

I like certain cool anodizing patterns - but some of them are just too random or crowded looking. You need to be bold, yet detailed so it doesn't look a mess. Now fades on flames are pretty cool looking too - and when you've got the flames actually milled onto the gun (ahem, KAPP flame cocker) then it's just beeaauutiful. :D

Not so much with the guns - but I saw some ads in a mag the other day for barrels with some pretty descent designs on them. Using actual images, not just random coloured splash anodizing. They looked pretty neat, they had like the stars and stripes amonst other things - all very, very, shiny of course! :D
