Strange ION body.

Any time dude

As we speak I'm putting my Ion back together after having done the body mod that means you don't have to take the QEV off to remove the exo-skeleton. Of course if SP would only create a banjo-fitted QEV..! Wonder if there's a market for it?

You got the QEV on yours, Pump&Splat? Had it on mine for ages and can't reccomend it strongly enough

Haven't done it, been following the rumours about SP releasing a QEV Banjo direct replacement, with much interest.

I'm not hugely fussed on the mod at the moment, my ION seems to be spitting fast enough and shot efficiency isn't any worse than my old Nasty Impulse used to be....might be approached at a later date tho', A decent front reg and then a Strange trigger is first in line, however! ;)

Wouldn't do it for the efficiency, would do it for the cycle speed (forward slash more responsive trigger) and for keeping the noid clean.

<controverial bit>Stock reg is fine and Strange trigger no one has even seen yet</controversial bit>

:p I know no-one's seen the trigger, but strange body would have to be followed by the trigger...! obviously :p

I just don't like the rubber front grip, and without it, it looks damn ugly.

Think i'll wait out to see if this banjo QEV thang materialises....

sorry mate the end of my post came across as being really really rude because my funny bits didn't materialise. The last sentence was wrapped in pseudo HTML saying

[controversial bit

and

[/controversial bit

BUt they were processed as genuine HTML and didn't show up.

Sorry dude, wasn't trying to pick a fight. Other people have already warned me I should leave this humour business to the professionals :)

Strange Gear Introduces the Strange ION Body Kit

West Palm Beach, Florida (May 05, 2005) – Strange Gear, Inc., a privately owned company specializing in retail and dealer sales of paintball related equipment and apparel, is introducing the Strange ION body kit. The Strange ION body kit is meant to replace the plastic outer shell that comes standard with all ION markers. Strange Gear believes that this body kit will solidify the ION as a true top-end marker regardless of price.

The Strange ION body kit is not simply a replacement body. Access to the bolt will no longer require the complete disassembly of the marker. The removable end-cap allows the user to easily perform maintenance and cleaning. A task that is now possible with Strange Gear’s proprietary ION body interface. In addition the body kit will include a custom Twister vertical feed port capable of securely holding any sized paintball loader system currently available today. In addition this unique body kit will feature aggressive 3D milling that the public has come to expect from the Strange Gear signature series markers. It will be available in standard colors with custom color and fade patterns available through special order.

The Strange ION body kit is expected to be released in June 2005 with an MSRP of $149.95. For pre-orders or for additional information contact Strange Gear directly at (561) 582-1994 or Email sales@strangegear.com. To see the entire Strange Gear product line visit www.strangegear.com.

I don't understand, Darkwerks - this IS how the body kit will look. You've posted the first and very old post from Strange in the topic that I linked to via the Southwest forum that includes the picture above and the news that the pic is the proto?

Try to keep up old boy ;)

The post I'm quoting is from pbnation.
The posts I saw said that this pic was a prototype and the consumer model would be different. It seems that the pic shown and the image on the website are the same shell
