Well that was an interesting afternoon! There i was tucking into my chicken and pasta bake when a kid walks in and offers me a Ninja Ego 08 with a real tree camo hopper. My first reaction was to ring a gun whore and check that it was a legit combo and i wasn't going to look like a numpty playing with it at the masters this weekend, but when he tells me his mom bought it off ebay alarm bells started ringing.
While he was chatting to Jim I had a quick look on here, and there it was, a full list of the items the kid was showing us! "What's this Mikey?" Jim asked me reffering to the PM (i hadn't got a clue) "a PM6 2009 chipped i think," i replied reading from the list
So we manage to get rid of him and get him to leave the kit with us so "we could check how much its worth". He was happy as "he didn't want to get ripped off"!!!
While he was away we called in our local reception crew (Big Steve) to make sure he got a warm welcome when he came back for his money just in case the police didn't get here in time. When he came back Steve politely informed him that we knew the kit was stolen and when the kid argued, told him he could wait and take it up with the police who were on there way. Funnily enough he had some where else to be!
Police turn up for statements another lot nick the bloke in his car (credit to Stupid for getting the guys reg), and Tim gets to see all his kit put into evidence bags so the police can go have a play while they nail the scumbag.
Might be a while before you get the stuff back Tim, it took about 3 months when i had mine taken out my car, but overall a good result i reckon
