Hi

This is message to point out what has been happening at Northern Quarter recently.

Its a notice to loyal honests customers to beware
Its a notice to the balling community as a whole
And its a notice to the theiving scumbags

Ok basically we have let this issue slide for a little while but it was decided to let everyone know about this just incase.

Firstly we have had stolen (on seperate occasions):

1 - 0.7l PMI HP Preset with bottle cover
2 - Standard Revvi Hopper
3 - Numerous pots (!)
and most recently
4 - £30 cash

Now, while these items might not seem to be of vast monetary or sentamental significance, what really pisses us off is that these items are lent out by us (The Firm) to people to use. Often (as in the case of the bottle) these items belong to members of the team who work damn hard to afford to buy them.

We put on newbie days etc and the open training days for the benefit of the PB community. I know "sob sob" will be the general reation but anyone that knows Markie C will know he doesnt make a living off his site - he does it to allow his team to train with a view to improving and to have a base to perform in the Uk and abroad next year, and likewise for others in the area. This is his primary goal.

When anything we lend out breaks or is in this case stolen, he has to replace it out of his pocket, or otherwise find the money from the green fees (which just about cover the land rent). Regrettably on newbie days we have started charging £5 for lending out gear (eteks, air, hopper, clothing, mask, pack pots) mainly to cover costs of batteries and repairing things people destroy.

So long story short - thanks a ****ing bunch to whoever stole this stuff - we (The Firm) run the noobie days to give something back - we dont get paid to be there, a bunch of guys travel 2 hours and more to be there to help you all out, and often we lend out our own gear for you to use. This is a very poor way to repay everyone.

I dont really wanna say anything else about it; I'm aware that it probably reads like a sympathy grab. thats not the case.

If you have this gear give it back
If you train at NQ, just be aware. It pains us to say it but it seems theives operate everywhere.

Ian

ps - I mention the pots cos we have spent about £200 on pots recently and the way people treat them / leave them lying everywhere / shoot them / TAKE THEM HOME WITH THEM is really starting to grate.

good luck getting the stuff back. these guys were good enough to sort me out with some gear at the Dynasty clinic, when i needed a marker and my own air system went tits up.

decent bunch of lads, so don't take what isn't yours. the thief can sit back and laugh at this all, but someday someone is going to catch up on you, and you had better pray its the police because you won't like what the rest of us are going to do.

what goes around comes around.

Cant say any fairer than that. We are more than happy to help people out with stuff but its pretty gutting when you get this in return.

I just really hope this stops and people realise that you cant do this sort of thing. Not only is it totally disrespectfull but its a kick in the nads.

instead of hiring gear for 5 quid

55 quid deposit, they get 50 back? would discourage stupid kids...

i know it doesnt seem as friendly but if you explain to people its due to a increase in shizzle going missing then they'd be fags to not understand

thatd mean some people bringing around £100 cash to the site - for some people thats cost prohibitive and others might not feel cool carrying that amount in cash on them.

im 23 and 6'3'' live in manchester and i dont like carrying lots of cash on my person.

anyway, its not really the point to have aggressive rules at the site. we want it to be relaxed and open, with gear willfully lent to help new people out or those who have marker issues that cant be fixed. it would be against the ethos of a noobie day to treat everyone like a criminal, and is the antithesis of the spirit of these sessions ie giving something back.

well a time consuming but fairly simple system ?

ok this is kind of aggresive, but people with nothing to hide shouldnt care?

kit is only handed out from over a counter, where each thing you borrow is listed and your name / address recorded... and when they hand it back in you tick off each of the items they borrowed...

obviously people could still give fake details but it might deterr someone

i mean your loaning out eteks... £500 quid worth of gear .... if they have a problem with it then ask how they would feel about loaning a brand new set of golf clubs, or equivilent

That really sucks guys :( Hope you find some way to sort it out, or the culprits own up to it...

Has this just started happening recently? As I've noticed that a couple of the people that have ripped people off through the classifieds have recently started going to the NQ... Might be coincidence, might not..
