Soldering could be an option, can't say as i've seen it done with ally but it's definatly fine on copper and brass.

If you look at any marker made by Palmer Pursuit the whole thing is brass tubes soldered together then nickle plated.

I don't know if solder sticks to Aluminium, you could always try though.
I tried soldering some metal together at work the other day, it was either steel or aluminium, but I'm guessing it was aluminium because it was inside a laptop, and laptops are designed to be light.

It didn't work.

I used some No More Nails in the end, the metal I stuck wont budge, and my boss swears by it, could always try some of that.

The only option you really have is to get it TIG welded (not MIG as suggested above) strip it totally bare then take it to a fabricators...(or i could do it for you if you desperate) the only thing to take into consideration is the heat will mean that it must be bare i.e no plastic/rubber parts on it at all(!) and it will need re-annoing as the anno must be removed prior to welding.

Gluing is a weak bodge, so either TIG or find some nice small screws and drill/tap the holes IMO.

You could almost certainly use a decent adhesive, combined with a couple of pins, liek shocker pins, sort of thing...drill a couple of small holes....apply glue...pop pins in nice and snug...allow to cure...trim pins down..sorted.

Pins are cool and I swear by them!:D

Or you could phone up Lotu sand ask them what they use to glue their chassis', together.

I take it that was supposed to say lotus?
I have a mate that works at the place that stick the Lotus chasis together, got him to glue an ION feedneck back on once after the threads were stripped. Never came off again :D
From what he tells me they use a few types of adhesive, the stronger ones require baking to harden fully. Not exactly sure what type of glue it is though, i think they mix it and then use it straight away.

Nah...its was definately Lotu Sand...Korean sports car manufacturer...makes cars out of Balsa Wood...did you know Balsa is actually classed as a Hard Wood, despite it's somewhat "spongy" construction?

They had to stop making their Flagship model, as the engine they put in it, actually ripped itself out of the subframe, so now they only use one rubber band....
