the aluminium would need to be at least a 1/4" thick and you'd need a mig welder which not many people have.

JB Weld would work pretty well. Failing that Araldite (i know its for two different materials) might be ok. Let me know what your using it for, gives me a better idea...

edit: beaten to it.
 
Well welding wouldn’t be ideal either since more than likely you would melt the bracket since I doubt it will be thick material, so if screwing is out of the window, looks like the best bet is going to be go to B&Q near stairfoot and see what they have in, and if your feeling girly, ask an assistant for help lol

Araldite should be ok then. If its unlikely to have a large load on it it should be fine. Make sure you rough the surfaces up first.

If B&Q do it - get JB Weld thats ideal stuff for what you want to do.
