Last chance

At this rate we could have 400 players but we won't because the entries will close on 13 October. Any booking forms recieved after this date will be returned, this includes players who have booked places and not paid foir them. Your places will be reallocated on 13/10 to players who have paid and are on the reserve list.

You might feel this is unfair BUT you have had 3 months to pay, and to organise a profesional event we need to have the infrastructure in place two weeks in advance of the event.

Cheques by 13/10 or you will not be playing

Steve:)

Do not PM me as I can't access them for some starnge reason. Probably because I have installed a new anti - everthing software and I think this is the cause.

Birmingham Uni are you playing?????

The Endor Moon must be of a size which is approximately equal to that of the Earth (which has a radius of 6378 km). If it were very much smaller then it would not have enough gravity to hold an atmosphere thick enough for human comfort, let alone thick enough to allow Ewok glider craft to fly. The fact that the cumbersome-looking gliders do work at least as well as a (terrestrial) parachute whilst having only a fraction of the surface area suggests that Endorian gravity is somewhat lower than on a standard human world. Otherwise (or additionally) the air pressure may be exceptionally high (though this would tend to imply a world larger than Earth).
Huh am I wrong in thinking then that the larger the object the higher the gravity. I think this guy has his astrophysics all mixed up.

more to the point how would the Endorian gravity affect the trajectory of a paintball...??

On Earth, at sea level,

If the muzzle velocity of my pink Evo is say 295 ft/s

and i'm shooting at TL at a range of 50m

Then the amount of drop of my paintballs below the horizontal would be 151 cm

If the marker is fired on level ground at a height of 1.5m, then the paintball will hit the ground in .55 seconds, having travelled a distance of 49 meters.

This, of course, is not allowing for air friction or wind  and is based on gravity being calculated at Fgrav =Gm1M2/r2, where G = 6.67x10(-11)Nm2/kg

yes???

So on Endor....

(what is the Fgrav for Endor someone??)

Guppy: NOT just a dumb redhead ! ;) :p
