Seriously, how many of us have sat and listened to someone harp on about certain "sci-fi" topics and not wanted to throttle them? or tell them to stfu? but we don't 'cos we are polite. Even if your into it (I am, I love sci-fi) I find it boring when someone goes on like it's religion........... so next time someone quotes episode 142 of bab5 or whatever, just say... "I'm sorry, you will die alone unless you stop this" he'll thank you in the long run. It may harm the prosthetic ear and bumpy forehead industry, but it's a price worth paying.
