Staargate - what an event!!

Whoo-hoo! What a blast of a day. I really couldn't fault anything about the UKPSF/PBUK scenario. The players party was brill, the food was very good, the music cool and the Stargate...Wow! Defo a centerpiece to be proud of, props to all those who were involved in it's design and construction. The scenario itself was amazing, well done Andy and Gillie!

The game had something for everyone imo, you could get up to the front line and fight for territory or, because the site was so vast and the ground so undulating, you could skirt round the outside with a stealthy approach and come round the back unseen.

Anubis and his super-soldiers had some balls imo, at times they were dripping with paint but they still played on. The replicators added another dimension and would appear out of the blue and totally change the way the game was going. The costumes were cool and added to the fun of the day and some of the pyro's...are you sure those are legal guys? lol! I'm looking forward to seeing the pics now!

The result was Earth won although we did send the bomb thru the stargate and detonate it, we missed out on the 5k points as it was just outside of the time limit.

Hathor is already building her army in order to gain retribution and when we return the humans will make amends with their death!

Anubis would like to apologise to the player he yelled at for shooting him in the face from a foot away........ it was the heat of the moment and the fact that paint shot in my eyes and the impact somehow broke my nose..... I thought my lens had failed and I'd been hit in the eye. Just a freak impact at a weird angle. Sorry bad man.

And..... general apology for missing the presentation at the end.. We had to get the massive tent packed away before our pick up arrived as the driver was already seething from standing around and refused to wait. We nipped out early to pack stuff up intending to come back for the last 15 minutes of game time , only to find we'd actually left at 4.30 and missed the end completely. The day shot by so quick we screwed our timing badly.

And to all those who were layed low by the pandamatic cocktail bar..... particularly Phil. We are very sorry.

And to anyone involved in the giant dogpile on Saturday night.... no harm intended.

And to anyone who witnessed the panda YMCA..... apparently it was chronic.

Oh, and big apology to ANdy the pikey........ who slept in a tent with ten fibre glass super soldier costumes. Even though the resin hadn't cured fully and he was almost asphyxiated.

you shouldn't set of pyros when you're letting off........... it could blow your sphincter out

great game, anyone who wasn't there should've been.....truly. . .

best part was while i was up at the base camp having lunch (i was dark blue - enemy to the holders of the hot-dog van)
I overhard gups telling these mud brown guys about her plan to flank us while we were busy attacking their base with a large force.... so i finished my tea and went back to base where we went to stop em!

Hey Uptown. Spy in the camp eh? I'm afraid your guys weren't quick enough. We cleared out about 6 blue guys who were lurking around the flag markers in Anubis's mines area then proceeded to collect 3 weapons grade nasquada and flip over 4 'flags' to red as we proceeded up the path. We then surprised some of your guys who were waiting in ambush in a narrow bendy path between two hills in your half of the field and shot them in the back as they were busy looking the other way

Bloody replicators came along then so we legged it We'll have to talk in Gould-speak next time to avoid infiltrators
