It's not an advantage.

Any serious Euro team will play the exact layout, at local events or practices, while our american cousins are playing a layout that, while similar, is much more different, when you get down to what you can do from the individual bunker.

If you look at the snake side for instance.... there is a huge difference between what you can do from the snake corner, in one layout to the next, especially because of the different placement of the Mini Ms in comparison to the Mini Races, and their different shapes.

And no, while the Mini Race is an actual playable bunker, that most can play on their knees, because of the broad top part, the Mini M is not.... and in this layout, those bunkers are crucial.

I would say the americans have a serious disadvantage.

I think you meant one event on a similar field and maybe an hour on the grossly expensive CPL field prior to the event. Fixed. :) TBH, the mini-Ms look enough like the mini-races they probably play quite similarly. If you'll be at the event stop by and say hello.
If you and the team are going to slack off between events, that's OK  As Nick implies, the mini Ms are much less playable than a mini Race, but not impossible, the loss of the Brick/Door bunkers is still mourned  The Tall Cakes and Maya on the snake will make for a lot of paint bouncing around the snake-side tape!

See you there.
