Spyder tweaks/upgrades

Fellow ballers,

Bit gutted - two weeks in a row now and no action - never mind.

I have a new Diablo Paradox (which is basically a ripped off spyder shutter) - I have bought a teardrop barrel and I want to improve this marker further. the velocity adjustment screw at the back does not seem to make much difference.... ? would a firmer spring help here? also I was thinking about getting a drop forward but the trouble is that the screw holes are staggered at the bottom of the grip (instead of in line like most sensible markers) - any tips on customising/upgrading/tweaking would be much appreciated! - I can't find any resources on the Web about this.

yeah, you can buy a spring kit at just about any paintball store, then just put a firmer spring in.

There's no end of things to do to a Spyder!

As to the hole pattern, paintball shops sometimes have an "adaptor" that screws into the holes in the grip frame, but has the more usual hole arrangement for attatching bottom lines or drop forwards. I believe Planet stocked them, but check with any retailer.

For drop forwards on Spyders look on the Eclipse website under "Marker Accessories" - "Drops and Stocks"

You have 2 options:

The Eclipse Drop Line Mk2 - which is a combination drop forward/bottom line. It has holes that will fit both standard and spyder bottom line mounts.

They also do a Spyder adaptor - not sure what they call it, but it's an adaptor that screws into your spyder and will then take standard drop forwards.
