check http://www.pbreview.com mate to see what people think. The best way to see if you like a marker is to shoot it tho :).

The shutter looks nice but IMO the ones with the vert feed are better, but the rear cocking bolt is a bonus (i prefer these to side cocking ones)

you will need a new barrel on it tho as the stock barrels tend to suck and maybe paying a bit extra for an electro handle and an electro hopper.

Check the classifieds all over the place cos you can prolly get an upgraded setup cheapish, and guys tend to look after their markers.

I like my spyder because i am learning how to play well and learning marker maintenence. Its all about budget and personal preference at the end of the day. (my E99 Avant is my first marker and i love it :p)

I just bought a 2004 Spyder Imagine to use as my first tourney Marker. So far I am really impressed with its performance. I was getting steady 14 BPS which is perfect with my Empire Re:Loader. Once you lower the trigger pull you can fire pretty fast considering I bought mine new for $210 CDN. Im still awaiting shipment on my 14" J&J Ceramic Barrel which will help tremendously with the accuracy, time to scrap the 9" piece of stock crap. As soon as I sell my old rec-ball Marker I'll be able to buy a HPA tank and my setup will be perfect, untill I move on to bigger and better things.

My conclusion: The 2004 Spyder Imagine is a great entry level tourney Marker. I would suggest getting something better when you get to the Novice division.

i have a spyder imagine with a 14" smart parts progressive barrel on it. i want a bko but my dad doesn't think there is any differnce between a 500$ gun and a 150$ gun so can someone give a list of good ugrades for it so i can make it run like a better gun. i'm willing to spend about 150-200$ on upgrades.

A nice air system cant do you too wrong, dont know how much they are in america but i paid £75 for my 3000psi .8ltr air tank.

Also debateable but a new bolt is also good. People think that this doesnt matter but my personal experience is that it hits the ball a little better and reduces chopping rates. (i have chopped 1 / 6000 aprox).

Do you have a good electronic hopper? You cant go wrong with a 12v Revvy or Empire Reloader. I prefer the latter (tis what i use).

thats all i can think of at the moment.
