if that part you mentioned trips (the ring wobbles about) but the sear doesnt trip then you might have the same problem i had with mine, the capacitor wire had broken meaning it didnt have enough charge to trip the sear.

think uv got this now but its not the switch - thats a huge capacitor/electromagnet thang. Spyder official stuff ain't easy to get over here but if it's just a regular component u mite be alright...

there is another way of dealing with it









place it in the large plastic container near your house,and walk away

if he has tryed to adjust the trigger make sure the trigger actually connects with the switch,
