i find it funny that a bit of coding could have made it more annoying and made the sponser follow you as you scroll down the page, also, i believe that most people look at the left side of the screen more than the right, so to really grab peoples attention they should put it on the left. Final thought, this was discussed when the welt ad went up, and was praised when the add went away

Difference is Welt is part of the PGI empire and therefore I doubt there is any financial benefit from having that as a side banner

With english literature people naturally look at the left side because thats where you start reading from no matter where it is on a page you start from the left

it just makes me get caught on this site at work easier i've got a diserplinery on monday for internet usage and i blame the flashing banner as the rest is mostly text so goes un-noticed.

if anything it makes me not want to shop with JCS cause of stupid advertising banners. it aughto just scroll or something rather than making me wanna punch my monitor. bloody flashing lights give me headaches.

now that you have mentioned it everytime i open a page i now purposely look out for them i am like one of the flies you get down you local chinese that are attracted to bring lights then get burnt to and you hear them crackle
