Magic Box (POS) would go on the other side where the input is...it looks like some sort of finger carry bit, or something tho cant quite see the point of that...maybe a squeegee holder, but, they did the "Side Car" (I have one!) for that.

Yea - I'm wondering how it is attached to the valve. Could be a home made magic box perhaps. Or a site ring? No idea...
