as thread says.

hp or lp??? or would pre-set be the best bet?

have a lp atm, and for some reason im chopping like a bitch when my rof is set above 15 or so (have a VERY old style flow, it has a spaceframe ffs lol). upped the dwell and lowered the rof and is fine now, but why the hell should i have to waste so much gas to prevent chopping, as well as firing at such a low rof???

any help would be appreciated before i waste any money :D

regards
Matt

really?????????

was told that the speed (03 i believe) required hp....hmmm

had the angel's pressure tested by an aspiring angel tech, via the LPR, and it was far lower than normal. MUST be the flow. flow does have a leek on the on/off.

Speeds other than the Euro and 05 need high pressure I do believe, not 450 required by the newer eye type angels.

There based on the IR3 engine aren't they so need the HP?

Right you are, every angel from Speed on up requires LP. The Speed is built on the IR3 body, but was the first angel to use WDP's new LP engine.

As Dr.Strangelove has said ALL Speeds' and above are Low Pressure input

In the original post you are talking in shorthand?...when you say flow are you talking about a Max-Flo ? If this is the case then this is possible as to where your confusion has come from...You need the High Pressure version of this regulator the Low Pressure one on paper won't go high enough though some people have just cranked it full on and it has worked but the pressure range it officially has is below that required for the Speeds'.
I have and use the inline new style Max-Flo...had it for nearly a year now ;) and when it came out there wasn't a LP version so it was easier but all I did was look at the pressure range. I have mine set at 350psi and it is great.

yeah im talking about the max-flow. its damn old lol. there's a leak on the on/off which is starting to piss me off!!!

i canceled the order for the inline and bottle, and bought a freak barrel and kit instead. alot of people are saying its probably a bad paint:barrel match, so if the freak inserts dont help, them im REALLy confused lol.

Doesnt sound like a bad paint to barrel match.
Freaks are so badly made it probably wouldnt help anyway.
With a loose barrel it shouldnt break paint.

As Mark says the max flow comes in two types.

The HP version is pretty low pressure and the LP version is stupidly low.

So even though you have a low pressure gun it works with the HP max flow.

The low pressure max flow is for awful things like impys, where the valve is so big you have to hit it (and therefore your paintballs) like a sledgehammer to knock it open...
