Let me just say something here. The attitude of "you're playing tournaments so you need a rotor/spire" is complete and utter crap.ok thanks for that so it would be between a halo or rota depending on budget
In most tournaments in the UK you'll be shooting at most 10.5 balls per second, so all you need is a hopper which consistently feeds 10.5 balls per second. Sure a brand new, £100 hopper will be cheaper, quieter, last longer on a single battery (or at least you would expect them to), but at the end of the day all it's doing is the same thing an older hopper is, and that's pushing 10.5 bps into your marker.
I played tournaments for about 4 years, until I stopped about a year ago, and for almost all of that time I used either a Halo V35 or Viewloader Vlocity, and was never let down by either, and both can be picked up for around £30 now.
