Dunstable! **** thats far away from me. Does any one know roughly how long it takes on train from Waterloo to Dunstable and is it a straight route?

Right you need to get to either Kings Cross or Farringdon for the Thameslink service, on which you can get a train to Luton station from which you will need to get a bus to Dunstable. It will take about one and three quarter hours.
