Normally you can hear it even when there is CO2 in there. It sounds like you don't have one in there. Your best tack is probably to get down to bexley some time in the next couple of weeks and get them to fit one for you. Oh, and take your gun along so they can line it up to that :)

Right, having taken another closer look, there's a white mark about 4mm long on the neck of the bottle itself (not the valve) - not sure how I missed this before but it sounds like the mark that is supposed to identify the "top" of the bottle... problem is, this mark is about 30degrees off centre when the bottle is screwed in all the way, which I presume means the bottle is either set for a different marker, or the valve has been re-seated... :(

So either way it's a trip down Bexley & Smart Parts for me... which luckily is only 10mins away :D

I think the mark needs to be on the valve, cos if you imagine the valve in a vice with an anti-syphon Hard on ;) and a mark at the top of the valve. When you screw the bottle on the mark you describe will be rotating round & round as you screw on the bottle. whereas a mark on the valve will stay pointing upwards.

That make sense?

Bah, that means I'm back to square one and not knowing if I have one or not... I'll have to go outside and try the liquid trick then.
