I think the mark needs to be on the valve, cos if you imagine the valve in a vice with an anti-syphon Hard on and a mark at the top of the valve. When you screw the bottle on the mark you describe will be rotating round & round as you screw on the bottle. whereas a mark on the valve will stay pointing upwards.Originally posted by QuackingPlums
Right, having taken another closer look, there's a white mark about 4mm long on the neck of the bottle itself (not the valve) - not sure how I missed this before but it sounds like the mark that is supposed to identify the "top" of the bottle... problem is, this mark is about 30degrees off centre when the bottle is screwed in all the way, which I presume means the bottle is either set for a different marker, or the valve has been re-seated...
So either way it's a trip down Bexley & Smart Parts for me... which luckily is only 10mins away
