Well I have a Smart Parts 360 QEV for my ION, but it is leaking from the threads. I put some PTFE tape on it and that stopped the leak - But I shouldn't have to do that and now I need to carry PTFE around with me incase I have to remove it.

I never needed to do this on the banjos so why do I need to do this on the QEV ? The O-Ring on it is in perfect conection.

Cheers.

Ah that sucks. :(

Hmm, but the old banjo wasn't leaking so it can't be that, right ?

Also on the O-Ring for the 360 QEV, I've noticed that it seals the QEV's 'seat' against the breech, however there's nothing to seal that seat against the QEV it's self:
1) What's the point in that O-Ring ?
2) Could this be where it's leaking ?
3) Any ideas on how I can fix this ?

Well it's a brand new QEV.

For those who havn't seen a 360 QEV, here's a labeled picture:

There are 4 main parts:
The bolt is like the bolt in a banjo.
The QEV it's self is like the plastic part of a banjo.
The O-Ring seals between the Seat and the Breech.
The Seat is what goes between the Breech and the QEV, and is cut to the profile of the QEV.
There is NO O-Ring between the seat and the QEV.
