its not loading up windows it goes to the screen where it says safe mode and safe mode with prompt etc, and i have no recovery disk, i bought pc off a mate and dint get one,
You dont need a recovery cd!!
Hit it with an illigal copy of xp / office. Find hardware drivers on the net and away you go!

i do because its the core files that are missing, i done a mdr on my hard drive and some of the files are missing,
Well i can send you an XP which you can boot off but as for regaining your old data, hmm thats a toughy
If you have any files that you need to save put the hard drive in a mates pc and backup. Then format the drive and install windows and all you hardware drivers. Swap saved files back!
