I pity your parents, I bet they dread opening your room door in fear of what hair-brained idea you have got on the go next:eek:

In England we call it 'Year' instead of 'Grade', and we start with 'Year 1' and not kindegarten and proceed year 2, year 3 etc. from there. Therefore '9th Grade' in America is the equivalent to 'Year 10' over here.

(I think! - I haven't been in Year 1 for quite a while now! :D )

Going slightly off the subject here, but:

I believe that Grades 6-8 in America (Years 7-9 in England) is called Jr. High School

Then Grades 9-12 in America (Years 10-11, and then 6th Form (Lower 6th and Upper 6th) In England) is considered regular High School in the states.

In England the GCSE's are studied in Yrs 10 and 11 (Grades 9 and 10), then A-Levels in the 6th Form, ie. Lower 6th and Upper 6th (Grades 11-12 in America).

In America they don't take GCSE's or A-Levels but the SAT's. And in America I don't think that the students are allowed to leave school after Year 11 (10th Grade), whereas in England you are.

I may be wrong here as I haven't attended school in the states for many years. So if anyone wishes to correct me, feel free.

Hope I didn't confuse you too much!! (It sure confused me!):D :D

As for the music thing. I think that music is fantastic between games. It can help to generate a great atmosphere. But it should be faded out for when the games start.
As for what music to play, it's the same with anywhere where there are going to be a mixture of people where 'public' music as such will be playing- you need to play a mixture of different music. Not everyone will like all the music, but you can't have everything can ya?? A bit o rock, pop, trance, house, whatever (I don't however, suggest any classical!!:p - It doesn't really set the mood too well!):D
