That trigger frame on that xsv is a star frame which came as an upgrade in 06 I believe.
Takes me back, it's been a while since I handled an ego.
I'd have to check what the difference was in the detents slots but I know they were different.

This is the same marker here and this is proven as an 05. It's all in the frame design. Sorry

tis cool mate. I've seen lots of these as 2006 with the rounded frame rather than the later edition 2006 star frame and as long as it had membrane buttons and the longer detents they were classed as 06.

What is being sold here is an 05 XSV EGO, you can tell by the body milling.
The S.T.A.R frame and S.T.A.R FRM where offered as extras, they came as standard on the 05 XSV edition. The 06 S.T.A.R frame had a bottle opener on the back.
You can identify any early 04-05-06 EGO's by the profile of the detents is all

@STONESOLDIER - Stoney would be able to confirm what model this is and clear it up once and for all.
the '05 XSV Ego and the '06 XSV Ego look identical, other than the fact that the '06 XSV should have the '06 STAR frame, and the '05 XSV Ego should have the '05 STAR frame. This one pictured has the 05 frame the 06 frame has the membrane pad rather then the buttons, However, frames can easily be swapped, so the frame style is not a guaranteed way of knowing which version you have.
The only way to know for sure, is to check the detent style - an '06 body will use the normal oval detents, the 05 body uses the funny shaped ones
