Gassy, I think (?) that John has been using a HP Ninja reg on this and so the 800 does seems correct, But I'm sure he will confirm.

Does this still need a 800+psi output bottle reg , not sure if having the lpr would make any difference to that. ?

It does need a HP reg, I've run it with both a CP (750psi output) and Ninja (800-850psi) with no problems. As the LPR just runs the trigger mech it makes no difference to the input pressure that the X-Valve needs.
