Was an excellent weekend as always, beautiful weather and great organisation.
All thanks to Blakey and the MM crew, Just a shame the sad guys had to spend saturday picking up clays from the fields, but it does show the dedication of this series to bring the best :)

Marshaling was superb, under tough weather conditions. Dunno how but i dont think anyone could find any faults with the Marshals, MM marshals are the best :)

Only a couple of little gripes

1. Netting, Was well catered for but didnt like the way you could walk round the car park side. Yeah it was far enough away to avoid shots etc. but there did seem to be a lot of familys there today so may have been worth taping off to stop access into the live area other than through the dog leg.

2. OK this is a odd one, But toilets!!
4 chemical toilets is no where near enough for the volume of teams, staff and spectators. A chemical toilet of that sort is meant to hold approx 100 toilet uses (OK that sounds crap ;) ) but do the math... 50 teams of 5 = 250 plus maybe 100 staff and spectators, averageing maybe 3 uses a day = 1050 uses!!!! plus whatever saturday used! Personally i didnt really wanna use them by sunday morning, no loo roll and man they stank! So maybe nearer 10 would be a sensible number for an event of this size. I look it at like this. I would love to get my family to come watch these events, I am sure many would. But i would never expect my dear old mum to drop a log in a toilet like that!! :)

Other than that, was a great event, made even more special cos the guys ripped it up today an we took 1st in Div D :)

Wooohooo!

Thanks again to all the marshals, staff and teams for a great weekend :)

marshalling i thought once again incredible good. its bloody hard in that weather and you dont get a rest inbetween games! there were a couple of things missed, a few wiping la la la but that happens and the marshalls cant be blamed. could mayb have done with a few more a field. but like i said, i didnt see bad cool all day. well done lads..........and lasses if there were any!

the fields ...........1, never played...............2, different. nice to have a change. 3, liked alot. lot of thought had to be given to how to play that one. very defensive. 4, woooooooow. have you seen my girth with those liccle tiny bunkers????. did see one team during the day breakout as the marshall lifted his whistle so that they were in their primeries b4 the other team lifted their guns. naughty. 5, ok. bunkers where quite high meaning hard to see what was going on and i was scared to look over them  (pussy)
overall a nice array of fields.

netting.......exactly what famine said. at one point the netting between field 4 & 5 had come right up meaning u could be shot from the other side.

hope none of that sounded like i was moaning!!!!!!!!!! had a great day, the MM guys did us proud and every team we played, played hard and fair. the events get better and better.

and a big thankyou to my old man for winning that one on one cus the rest of our team were crap and only got to watch while the paint dripped down our masks!!!!!!!!!!

Great day, superb organisation, only one little moan, got shot on the top of the head, think it bounced, called marshall over to have a look, pointed to the top of my head to indicate a paint check, called me out as I had put my arm up!!!!!!! go figure, tried to argue as I was asking for a paint check, still pulled....

Apart from that, and coming last, had a superb day. Thanks all, especially Matt from Spank for lending me his gun as mine went down, gave me great pleasure to shoot you out with it.

No real gripes. I must admit that we spat our dummies a bit on field four on one game and a very, very large apologie goes to out friends Showtime. No hard feelings lads, just a lot of adrenaline.

One thing to note guys...........never pitch a tent in front of chemical loo's, especially on a hot day.WHHEEEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That tent needed some airing out:D  :D

had a great day as always

well done to all the mm crew and marshals

the weather well what can you say excellent
all its done today is rain:(

i agree with the netting could of been a bit better around the car park area or taped off a bit better
there was a lot of family`s there which is great to see
i always take my 2 kids (8 & 5) they understand the dangers (only because i drill it into them at every event)
but as more and more family`s are coming to mm events maybe just a little more thought for them as they are spectators and we are trying to encourage them to come:)

as for the toilets agree there aswell could do with some more
maybe the ladies who come to play/watch should have a set off loo`s for themselves

all in all the another great event put on by the mm crew

Thanks to all the MM crew, an excellent day overall.

A bit shocked to find ourselves in Division D though!

Just a couple of points, nothing serious though.

The playing surface was not as good as Wrexham, Ancaster or Uttoxeter, very uneven in parts with tyre ruts on field 4.

Netting was fine because the fields were so far away, I didn't see any cars get hit.

Marshalls did a fantastic job in very difficult conditions.

Field 2 and 3 were different and I quite enjoyed playing them but maybe should be limited to one concept field per tourny.

Field 4 was far too small although we did win our only game on that field.

At Uttoxeter on all the fields bar one you had a good chance of getting the flag of the break. Here there was no chance of getting the flag of the break,

It would be nice to have a mix especially as we had been practising going for the flag since Uttoxeter.

Only major problem was the toilets, I went at about 8.30am and they were disgusting then. This is a major problem because I know they cost a fortune to hire.

Overall another fantastic, well run tourny. Thanks to the MM crew for all the hard work that you put in so we can just turn up and play.
