A huge n00b question, but will they be charging to spectate? I really want to go down to watch but don't fancy paying for it

No. Never have, and probably won't for a long time - face it, who's going to pay to watch paintball?

Turn up, watch, mingle, buy shiney things at the trade stands, eat, drink, be merry. The first (modern) tournament paintball I saw was when I turned up at Crystal Palace a few years back to watch Campaign Cup, which was an eye-opener

the thing you will pay through the nose for at the NEC is parking,(unless players get free parking,)the last time i was at the NEC it cost about £10 to park for the day. times that by 4 days and again by 3 or 4 cars per team and it soon adds up.

I just want to confirm that player parking will be free at the NEC and there is no entry charge for spectators.

the NEC seems to be a huge area... any idea where the fields are going to be located within the NEC... West Car Park or other? Is it a long time walk from one NEC end to the other? Shuttle Buses available for players? It may be a good idea to have a 5-10 minute shiny morning walk through the great site before the games, but if it rains it may be not so exciting. Sorry for the bother, just need to plan the place for accomodation for my team. Thanks a lot.

As we are planning the trip as we speak - I would appreciate a little more in depth info:

- The railway station mentioned - what line is that on?
- Is there a hotel adjacent to the station and venue?
- If there is, what distance are we talking?
- Is there a special hotel deal?


(would be kinda cool if we could drop the car hire entirely )

Nick the Train station is Birmingham International - the train station is one of the main stops between london and birmingham city centre (the NEC is at this stop as is Birmingham International Airport)

There are hotels there on site but I think some deals are being sorted for the city centre (15 min away on the train) as is the players party (Hard Rock Cafe - hosted by karrang DJ's) so I think most teams might be staying in the town

You should be able to drop car hire cause the trains run at least every 15min (starting at 7:30am) and I believe birmingham city council are trying to sort a train deal for players i.e a weekend pass for trains (don't know price but not going to be alot - hopefully more info on campaign site as these develope)

what munky said - even if you did have to pay at the most it's gonna be £5 return from new street to NEC without any discounts i have a feeling tho that some sort of deal is being sorted out.

Its a ten minute train ride btw
