Me too dude.
If I was one of these influencial, mover, shaker type industry big boys, I would make a national paintball league in england for goddamn sure. id definately at least look into it, and the logistics of such a league.
Y not? I do not understand what difference there would be from running a series such as bullys, and running a league with divisions etc.
Any thoughts n e 1?

Mother, is that you?
Hey supair, there used to be the hcl leagues a number of years back. As I remember, there were three divisions of about ten 10-man teams in each. You played six rounds or so and then at the end of the season you had promotions and relegations. It was exciting stuff for two seasons and then problems occurred, which I guess boiled down to one thing - comittment. Getting the same ten teams, and ten players in the same place six times in eight months proved impossible. OK at the pro level (ist div) it worked, but I remember the Cheetas turned up with only four players one round. I watched one game where they turned over split peas (I think) who had a full ten out there!

Also, i think people got fed up playing the same teams each month, teams split up, and then grudges set in and it became a bit of a mess. To be honest, I think it would go the same again now.

theres a midlands league, a southwest league, bully's league, so why not a south east/southern league.

All it requires is one person with a lot of determination to get a league off the ground. Will take a lot of time and effort to organise.

This was discussed here not long ago. As you say, ALL it takes is the person (people really) with the time & determination; sadly most of the people who have the ability, contacts etc don't have the time as they're trying to earn a living from the sport or other means :(
Of course, if you're offerring to set it up..............:)

Support

This subject was covered a few weeks ago. There were plenty who said it was a great idea and should be implimented but with a few exceptions (Sparklie) no one seemed to want to take the bull by the horns and do something about it (Sparklie can't do it on her own).
There has been a promise of support and advise from Bully in the north, the SW League and myself and Mark (Midlands Masters), and all three leagues from these regions have said that a national format could be worked into the exsisting formats that we already run.
Just think guy's if the south east gets it's act together, next year your team could be UK Champions and it would be official.

Surely Doug Setters must want a new helicopter by now
or even Tom Davey may even want his first. But then if either did want to start up tournaments again would the turn out be as good as before afterall they will be held in woodland. so given that most people seem to have a downer on woodland perhaps we should give the tournaments available better support. (all things being equal due to money available etc).
