well yeah i see what your saying. id love to play sum american teams. if i thought this would teach me better paintball id go. i just cant see it teaching me anything different than what you can read and learn with a local team.
i should also add that if this was going ahead and i could get there i would attend. any training is good.
DJForbes sadly you are naive if you believe if you think you can learn everything you need from what you read and learn with a local team. Very few teams in this country train correctly and its down more to the players than to the coaches. Forget the American scene, as we have only have only had one team in the last 10 years really crack the US top flight, most UK teams cannot cut it against European opposition.
Although paintball is a team sport, the team is still based on a group of individuals and each individual has to hone his skills, so any chance to pick up things from better players should be jumped at.
Skills clinics though are only as good as the player attending it, if that player does not apply what they have learnt to their game and reverts back to their old style of play then little or no progress will be made.
Most teams in this country think that playing games is the only training they need, well sadly this just is not true. There is so much more to paintball than just point and shoot, just like there is more to football than kicking a ball.
