My little review...
Let me say this guys, snetterton field is a model for any other sup'air fields in the country. It has it all; a great and flat grass surface, properly installed netting, floodlit Millennium Field and layout; even with deadboxes in the right places. Snetterton was professionally built, and the price (still in the mid range of sites I know) is more than worth it.
The field construction is actually surrounded by mounds on the most open sides, and the other two sides are blocked by the staging area and a fence, so any wind is directed over the top for a sheltered, tranquil field.
What's even better is the location; perfect for bringing paintball to a new audience, it's next door to the snetterton raceway and in the adjacent lots are the snetterton market and a mini R/C car raceway (the 2nd site to share with those weirdos, i'm getting worried), attracting a large amount of foot traffic. There were always spectators with the great view from the mounds - it may not seem much, but this is the perfect exposure to bring new people into the sport, so we can continue to shoot fools when the old gramps retire.
The only thing i could pick up on, was the grass was thinning from lots of playing on it. Now i'm no gardener but a little watering could save the patches worn down in front of bunkers, keeping the surface perfect for slides and dives.
Whichever way you look at it, this is a top class field which has already attracted and held rental days, the inter-university championships, millennium training and even weekday evening sessions - so get down there to support the field of your dreams, or at least to show those R/C buffs who's boss
