I had posted alot of things like that on other forums, and I wanted to bring them here so people can also enjoy them, maybe I shouldn't have transfered what I did all at once (but one I did completly rewrite) And I have more to transfer, I only have a few questions about waht to get for a mag, but this place doesnt have a Specific Forum to post it in...... others have certain ones for AGD, WGP, WDP, PMI, Kingman, ICD, and all the other gun producers, Maybe the Administrator should make those forums, Or something.....

What do you mean with "pinching" ?`

Nate, you haven't been flamed, go look at some of the big threads on here and see what it's like to really be flamed ;)

I think things have been summed up pretty well here and on your other threads, you posted what 12-16? messages in the first 5 hours on these boards, yes they're useful to newcomers to the game, but you chucked them on with an air of preaching to everyone..."Lordy Hail here's Nate with his cure all for paintballing woes". First impression is "Jeez what an a$£%hole".

Then you follow up this with two totally useless threads that are just games, nothing to do with paintball, and nothing to do with the accepted rules of these forums, second impressions? "Tosser" It looked to me like you hadn't had the courtesy to read the messages around here before launching in.

Then you tell us you're 13, run a spyder and you and your mates are trying to set up a team. You have to excuse people for thinking "who's he to tell us how to play? doesn't sound like he's played a whole lot of tourney ball" Now you may well be the next young thing joining Dynasty et al and if so good luck to you, but we don't know that. We just see another youngster setting out to be a pain in the proverbials.

Chill out a bit, take the time to read what you're posting, especially if you're sending a user guide for people, it has to be readable and structured if you want people to really benefit.

You got "toyed with" a little the other night, it's no big deal everyone's really nice usually round here.

'cept of course for Rancid ;)

Can we all be fluffy now?

:p :D

It's hard to read what you are trying to say and respect it if you don't bother with spell check. It makes you feel that you are taking tips from a tard. No disrespect, it was a good effort, however, like someone said, these boards are generally for people who have downed a few cases of whoop-ass.;)
Gawdammit, you leave youe message half way through to go eat and when you come back, finish and post someone's beaten you to it

;) :D

13! Good Grief! That would mean being born about the same time I started playing Paintball... god I'm getting old :(

Youth of today got no respect :p

Seriously though Nate, as Cube says we really are usually nice round here despite your early impressions. Stick around for a while longer and restrain your (understandable) enthusiasm for Paintball a touch and you'll get on okay :)

Fluffy enough for you Cube?

Yea, I get it, but still, most of those tips are straight from things like PBstar, P8s, and 3 million other sites tips combined into one largely informed but shortened down articles, So many people can read what I learned from those millions of articles, then put them into one shortened down (like I said before) article, That I saw what worked for me, A Spyder Shootin Young gun. Im not expecting the expeirianced people to read and learn from them, infact, Im Expecting people to corect them, post what they felt worked. But then poeple don't correct them, they mock them, they disregard them and yell at me for posting them, sure Im 13, but Ive gotten MANY tips from the people on Team Matrix, and other 40 year olds that have been playign since pumps were the onyl thing there was around. Im trying to sum it all up and help out as much as possible, along with posting for other people, this helps me remeber what to do, retyping it a few times helps keep it in mind, in the middle of a game I'll remember something and then Ill go gog some other guy. And the "Useless" ones, they are just ones to have fun, relax, enjoy the small things. This forum should have a non paintball forum, something Like "The Lounge" where its nonpaintball only for people to relax and enjoy. I guess I won't post the things fro other forums still lying there if they're unappreciated by the older guys, yet some people thanked me for them.......

Nate,

I hoped you can understand this - we do NOT mind you (or anyone) posting thier own hints and tips, in fact it's encouraged. We DO mind when they are presented as some sort of playing gospel that must be adhered too .

Let me try and illustrate with a before and after (Let's just use your opening paragrapgh for example) :

Snap shooting Properly-make sure to read

Snap Shooting

Many players new to this sport may not know how to properly snap shoot. This is probably the single most important move in the sport of paintball. Snap Shooting can save the flag from being hung, eliminate that player in the key bunker, or simply keep you alive. If you feel you do not want to be able to do the previously mentioned materials, read no further. Later I will post "How to use cover" MAke sure to read that, and add that knowlegde to this. A few key components are the following; Play as tight and compact as possible, be unpridictable, be samrt, and think ahead.
Now, with a bit of re-writing (alterations in italics):

My suggestions for snap shooting technique

Snap Shooting

Many players new to this sport may not know how to properly snap shoot. I haven't been playing long, but I feel this is probably the single most important move in the sport of paintball. Snap Shooting can save the flag from being hung, eliminate that player in the key bunker, or simply keep you alive. I will outline below things I have learnt which might help new players to snap shoot so they can pull off those killer moves. Later I will post "How to use cover" I would suggest you read that, and add that knowlegde to this as the 2 things are very closely linked.
A few key components are the following; Play as tight and compact as possible, be unpridictable, be samrt, and think ahead.
Hopefully, if you can re-read those 2 para's and see the difference in how they might come across to us "oldies" :). We don't mind these sorts of posts - but you need to re-read them from everyone elses perspective.

Do you see what we are getting at?

Mate thanks for confirming what I already guessed but I think you're still missing the point a little. Plus you really don't quit do you?

These forums are what they are, for good or for bad they've been set up by those good people at PGI for us to use, they've got rules that they expect us to stick to, they've got a plan for the boards, (apparently).

Twice in the same thread you've told them that the boards should be changed and you've only been here 2 minutes. Like I said chill out it's not the best way to win friends and influence people.

As with many things in life, it doesn't matter if you think the rules are good or bad you obey them, or if you break them you deal with the consequences, non-paintball stuff is frowned upon by the moderators.

Plus I relax and enjoy by reading about paintball, (when I'm not in the Pub), don't you?....that's why I'm here, (again, when I'm not in the Pub). ;)

Well, pinching ideas and messages from other boards and passing them off as your own aside ;), people will appreciate these types of messages, but if you genuinely want people to correct or get involved in the ideas post them as questions or suggestions or topics for discussion That way you're almost guarenteed to get people posting stuff here, hell we might all learn something that way. But if you put something forward as gospel and it's wrong you're setting yourself up to be mocked and the trouble is everything else you say will then be discounted.

Put away your dummy :D;), accept what's been said, but do carry on with...perhaps a little bit more restraint and acceptance for the rules of where you are.

Enjoy,

I'm quitting now whilst I'm still sane!

Physics of paintball guns thread anyone????

thought not

:D
