Smart parts is owned by the gardener brothers, dlx is owned by daryll trent.
Im not sure which email adresses your referring to, you may be correct for this country but if you go to the states this wont be the case.

if your looking at new markers around the 300 range, personnaly i would look deeply into the PMR 09 (my 1st choice) the Dangerous Power G3 (cheaper i think? Lighter aswell) and the mini.
