This totally reminds me of the following thread from the other week.

Unless your arms are no longer than a foot (and if you do happen to have a medical condition I apologise) then your arms should be long enough to hold a gat correctly dude. I'll repeat what I put on there, saves you reading through. Its just a suggestion, may or may not work but its worth a shot if its going to save you money that can go towards training.
Try altering your posture to suite your marker and you profile. What I mean by this is if youre standing perfectly upright with your bottle into your shoulder you are gonna A) look like a robot B) stand out like a sore thumb because theres no way you can play tight like that and C) hurt yourself.
I dont know if its right as I'm certainly no pro and in no way a back specialist but what I suggest is taking up a skiing position. Its how I've always been shown. Legs comfortably apart facing your target, Knees bent, body leaning forward to counter and gun tucked into your shoulder. I find I can bring my arms in a lot tighter this way. You certainly wont need a drop or shorter bottle which in all honesty wont give you much of a difference regardless.
The image below (although not fantastic examples) clearly shows the difference:
