can i just add...
when you d get a tighter spring.... using c02
you shouldn't relly push your fps up to summut like 290..
espechily in hot weather
c02 pressure changes dramaticly depending on the weather.

on a hot day; if you push it up to 290.. you will find l8er on
when being chronoed by a marshal just b4 a game..
your fps will go to something like 340!

on a cold day you are probably safe to put it at 290fps
but w8 a bit untill your bottle warms up after re-filling
;)

Ah that brings back memories of my old spyder.
I used to chrono on at about 270. When I chrono'd off it was always well above 400fps.
This was one of my first tourneys and well before the days of compressed air.
In fact in those days whichever teams equipment lasted the whole game without breaking down usually won.

there is np with removing venturi(or wasn't with mine)in fact it perfomed better than the delrin spudnukl low presure bolt i got that was chop city,or though my electra was modded somewhat ran at 350psi input & springs/presure set so it wouldn't recock when dryfireing, not enough blow back without paint in the barrel,it would also empty an eggy on full auto with no chops (or very rarely(in testing not playing) check out this site for the low down on modding spiders very usefull site http://www.ottersccustoms.com/
