Slow eggy Z board??

I purchased a spankin new eggy z board still in the wrapper from planet, an it sounds slower than the y board that was in it, its taking between 16-20 seconds to empty when filled with 200 + balls (fastest + slowest times)
I have checked the motor is not being restricted
Fitted new Duracell m3's too
so, 10 -13 bps is pish in my book, specially seeing my viking will do like 30 or so!
Anyone had a similar prob?
how can it be fixed , or have i got a duff board??

Will cleaning the eyes make the motor spin faster? it sounds slower than the y that was in it,

Might sound stupid but, you tried new Durocell Ultra Batterys?

the onyl reason the motor should spin slower is if it thinks there is no paint in the feedneck, so your eyes could be fecked

Easy way of testing it is to just stick your finger in the feed neck and it should slow down. If it don't slow down it thinks theres no paint in there and the eyes are borked

If you put your finger in teh feed neck and move it back and forth in a rude fashion.....the motor should speed up...if its a Z board...is teh grey "tape" around teh feedneck, that sheilds teh eyes from stray light, still intact...and yes clean teh eyes, or make sure they are aligned properly.

Yup,

tried all that, the board is BRAND NEW so i hope they eyes aint fooked! its got Brand New duracells in it too, tried the finger up the feedneck too, its working fine.
But shurely it should empty quicker than 16 secs for 200 plus balls cos thats like 13 bps, Fcuk my clapped out zevvy did that!!
